About Your Local Pekin, IL Pawn Shop

Derby Pawn started in April of 1993 as a Trading Post, selling, buying and trading high end firearms and sporting goods. It was a little tough specializing in just those two areas, so we decided to expand our inventory by taking in different items like electronics, tools, and musical instruments. Shortly after, our customers started asking us to look at coins, gold, silver and diamonds. The inquiry of precious metals became so great and common that our store transformed rather quickly. After years of this style of business, loans became a popular topic with our customers. In 2004, Derby Pawn acquired a pawn license which turned our trading post officially into a pawn shop. It has been a fun ride!

Building Relationships Over the Years

The business is family owned and operated. Derby Pawn has made many friends here throughout the years while doing business with them. We are doing business now with the young adults we have seen years ago when their parents would bring them in. It's been a pleasure watching them grow and serving them as well. Derby Pawn tries very hard to satisfy our customer's needs so when they leave they feel like they have been treated fairly.

We look at different items every day to buy and loan on. We stock a wide variety of items such as coins, jewelry, electronics, tools, sporting goods, musical equipment, games, movies and more. The goal is to try to have something in here for everybody and for every occasion. If we don't have it today we may tomorrow.
